Pros
- Retrieves Most Microsoft Keys From Your Computer Product Key Finder can retrieve most Windows OS keys, Microsoft Office keys, Adobe Software Keys and other popular keys that are saved in your computer’s system registry.
- Can Backup and Retrieve Keys from Backups Not only can this program retrieve keys from your system, but it can also create backups that you can save and restore from as needed – even to other computers!
- Finds and Lists Over 200 Keys for Software and System Programs You’ll be able to pull hundreds of keys for a variety of software on both 32bit and 64bit systems with a single click.
Cons
- Only Free for x32/32-bit Windows While this program is freeware, you’ll have to upgrade to the premium edition to scan 64bit systems for keys.
- Doesn’t Always Work Not all keys are stored in the system registry the same way; for those that are stored or encrypted, you’ll need to use another key recovery program with more features.
- Very Simplified Operation It’s easy to use, but doesn’t have much of interest for power users looking to explore all the keys hidden in their system registry.
Find software keys on your computer fast with Product Key Finder.
Product Key Finder is a serial and key retrieval tool for Microsoft Windows. It’s free for 32-bit users, but 64-bit users will have to pay to upgrade to premium for the tool to work.
This product does exactly what it says: helps you find keys on your system. It supports over 200 different products including Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10), Adobe Software (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.) and many others.
It’s important to point out that this isn’t a “software cracker” or a serial library – in other words it won’t help you activate software you haven’t bought. What it is though is a piece of software that can help you find old keys from previously installed software so you can install it again.
Even when you uninstall software from your system it still leaves behind a kind of “footprint” in your system registry. This program will look for footprints in specific places and recover what it finds in plain-text so you can just enter in your serial when you’re installing your software.
Another important thing to keep in mind is that this won’t work on all software, only specific ones that list the key or serial data in your system a specific way. Many software suites will encrypt the data or hide it in the registry making it hard to find; if this software can’t find it, you might want to find another retrieval method or just email support and get some help.
Other than that though, Product Key Finder does one job and does it well; just being able to grab old Microsoft Windows or Office keys alone makes this worth the download, not to mention all the other software it supports as well!
